Our representative will welcome you at Marrakech Airport, who will assist you with all the formalities, and give you a comfortable ride to the prestigious Hotel La Mamounia. We set out from Marrakech for the High Atlas Mountains, where we get a real glimpse of daily mountain life as we ramble through the Natural National Park Reserve of Tamsoult. The afternoon Will bring you to relax at the exquisite Kasbah Bab Ourika Hotel, where a festive dinner is reserved for you.
We will travel climbing to a higher altitude into the foothills of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, visiting the remote Berber villages around. Your lunch will be served on the terrace of our local guide's guest house, Dar Ouassaggou. During cocktails tonight, our friend Nisrine will elaborate on women's development in Morocco and explain from her perspective what it's like to be a woman in a moderate Muslim nation.
Today, we will leave the mountain environment and drive towards the Atlantic shore to reach the picturesque fishing port town of Essaouira, where we'll traverse paths used only by locals. We will stop at a remote bay for a festive lunch prepared in the fishermen's fashion. Later, a local guide will be at your disposal to introduce Essaouira's historical and artistic aspects. Your dinner will be reserved at the legendary Restaurant Le Chalet de la Plage.
After breakfast, we will take off traveling north along the scenic promontory road to reach the surfing village of Moulay- Bouzerktoun, where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a local seafront restaurant. Camels are made at your disposal should you like a short ride over the dunes of this peninsula. We will take you back to Essaouira, where you will be offered a shopping tour of the souks and galleries of Essaouira or relax in your hotel. Dinner will be reserved for you at Riad Heure Bleue.
Travel back to Marrakech today and hike the cliffs of the Plateau du Kik overlooking the Plain of Marrakech and its olive groves. Our local guide, Meryem, awaits us with a garnished picnic lunch before she takes you on a short walk and a discovery tour at the exciting Medina of Marrakech.
