Upon your arrival at Casablanca airport to start your overland trekking tour to Morocco, you will be greeted by your guide, who will take you on your first journey along the Atlantic shore to the magnificent city of Rabat. After breakfast, we will hop on our overland vehicle to start our trekking day to the Rif highlands. Travel to Ourzigh, visiting the holy city of Ouazzane in the Rif Mountains. Then, experience the unique Berber and Moorish lifestyles seen in the village of Fez el Bali and the Amergou Mountains. This trekking route will be lined by picturesque villages with majestic evergreens and cedar forests, providing a natural backdrop. Expect Morocco's landscapes to change on every horizon. Start your day with an excursion to hike in the Tamesnit, in the heart of the Rif Mountains, the Belvedere of Lalla Outka, and the Isolated shrine of Moulay Bouchta El Khammar (master of music). Drive to Taza, an ancient city that stands as the gateway of the evergreen Atlas Mountains. We will cross the Rif Massif surrounded by pine, acacia, and cedar trees, as far as the eye can see. Monkeys can also be seen, along with thousands of bird species. Dinner and overnight will be in the hotel in Taza.
After a sumptuous breakfast, we will start our adventure by crossing the valley of Taza, which separates the Rif Mountains from the Atlas Mountains. Hike for the whole day through the ranges of the Bouyeblan, at heights exceeding 11,200 feet, as the French mountaineers call it: le "Beau et Blanc." Breathtaking sceneries and beautiful Berber villages fill the vistas. Pause for lunch in a small village near Friouato taverns, then continue hiking and trekking around Taza Mountains with your small group of naturalists and mountaineers like yourself—dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Drive up to Bouyeblan, visiting Chiker Caves and Immouzer Marmoucha waterfalls. Return in time, crossing one of the most remote Berber nomadic territories. Enjoy one of the most primitive Morocco trekking trails today. Dinner and overnight are at Camp.
Travel through the ranges of Sebou. Stop at Ribat al Khayer to explore a typical Berber village of the region, and later proceed to Sefrou, an ancient trade outpost from the Phoenician time and a center of Jewish heritage from the dawn of time. Visit villages and souks to Fez. Dinner and accommodation are in the hotel.
Start the historical tour by the Mellah, the king's palace, and the Batha Museum of Moroccan Arts, and the walking tour of the Medina, the fascinating walled city with its incredible maze of medieval twisting alleys, blind turns, mosques, shrines, fountains, workshops and every conceivable kind of market. Lunch will be served in a typical Moroccan restaurant. For the afternoon, continue visiting and shopping. Dinner is at the hotel.
Travel to Casablanca via Volubilis, the Roman capital of Northwestern Africa. A site guide will take you around this ancient archeological dig. Lunch is in the exciting City of Moulay Idris, the birthplace of Islam in Morocco and the most ancient Islamic imperial City. Afternoon arrival to Casablanca with sightseeing of the Ramparts, the Gates, the Borjs (forts), and the Andalous part. Dinner is at the Hotel.
