Today is devoted to discovering four dimensions of Fez that remain deeply connected: authenticity, history, intellect, and spirituality.

Enter the medina and walk through neighborhoods where daily life continues beside monuments of remarkable historical importance. Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, pass through the traditional souks and artisan quarters, and discover places such as Nejjarine, the Seffarine Square, and the tanneries, where crafts are still organized around skills transmitted through generations.

Fez is also a city of learning. Around Al Quaraouiyine, founded in the 9th century, scholarship, faith, commerce, and community life developed side by side, helping make Fez one of the great intellectual centers of the Islamic world.

Cross the dramatic landscape toward Telouet, once an important point on the caravan route linking the Sahara and southern Morocco with Marrakech. Arrive in Essaouira, a city whose character has always been shaped by the sea. Known historically as Mogador, the fortified port developed into an important meeting place between Morocco, Europe, Africa, and the wider Atlantic trading world. Merchants, sailors, diplomats, Jewish and Muslim communities, craftsmen, musicians, and travelers all contributed to the distinctive personality the city retains today.

Walk through the medina with your guide, exploring its ramparts, harbor, Mellah, workshops, galleries, and streets whose scale and rhythm feel very different from Marrakech and Fez. Here, the medina opens toward the Atlantic rather than enclosing itself entirely from it.

Visit the Skala and fishing port, where fortifications, boats, workshops, gulls, and the ocean remain part of everyday life. Essaouira has also long attracted painters, writers, filmmakers, musicians, and other artists, drawn perhaps by the unusual combination of Atlantic light, white walls, blue doors, wind, and openness.
