Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 18, 2026
These Terms & Conditions explain what you can expect from Sarah Tours, what we ask of you as a traveler, and how we handle bookings, payments, changes, cancellations, and unexpected circumstances. We have written them as simply and fairly as possible because we believe a good journey begins with trust.
These Terms apply to bookings made directly with Sarah Tours through our website, by email, or by telephone. By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms for yourself and, if you are booking for others, confirm that they have been made aware of them.
If anything is unclear, please ask us before you book. We would much rather explain something beforehand than leave you uncertain afterward.
1. About Us
Sarah Tours is a Morocco-based tour operator specializing in small-group and private customized journeys in Morocco and selected destinations in Africa and beyond.
Throughout these Terms, “Sarah Tours,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Sarah Tours. “You” and “traveler” refer to the person making the booking and, where appropriate, the travelers included in that booking.
Our role is to organize and coordinate the travel services included in your itinerary and to work with our guides, accommodation providers, transport companies, and other local partners to deliver the journey we have agreed with you.
2. Making a Booking
A booking is confirmed when we have received your booking information, the required 10% deposit (or full payment, where applicable), and Sarah Tours has sent you a booking confirmation.
The person making the booking is responsible for providing accurate information for all travelers included in the booking and for making sure they are aware of these Terms & Conditions.
Please check your booking confirmation carefully when you receive it. If anything is incorrect, let us know as soon as possible so we can correct it before travel arrangements are finalized.
3. Prices & Payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and are per person unless stated otherwise.
A minimum deposit of 10% of the total booking price is required to confirm your booking. You may pay more than the deposit, or the full amount, if you prefer.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. If you book within 60 days of departure, full payment is required when the booking is confirmed.
We will clearly tell you the total price, the amount due, and the payment schedule before your booking is confirmed.
Card payments are processed securely through our payment provider. Sarah Tours does not store your full card details.
4. If You Cancel
We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel your journey, please let us know in writing as soon as possible.
60 days or more before departure: your 10% deposit is non-refundable. Any amount you have paid above the deposit will be refunded.
30–59 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price will be refunded.
Less than 30 days before departure: no refund will normally be available, as by this stage we will have made commitments and payments to hotels, guides, transport providers, and other local partners.
Where circumstances allow, we may offer to transfer your deposit to another Sarah Tours journey rather than lose it. This will depend on the arrangements already made for your original booking.
To cancel, please contact us in writing. Your cancellation takes effect on the day we receive it. Any refund due will be returned using the original payment method whenever possible.
5. If We Change or Cancel
Travel sometimes requires flexibility. Weather, road conditions, local events, government decisions, or other circumstances may require us to change part of an itinerary. When this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative while preserving the character and value of your journey.
If Sarah Tours has to make a significant change before departure, we will tell you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the options available to you.
If Sarah Tours cancels your tour for reasons within our control, you may choose an alternative Sarah Tours journey or receive a refund of the amount you have paid to us for the cancelled tour.
Some events are beyond anyone's reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, war or civil unrest, government restrictions, public health emergencies, strikes, or similar events. In these circumstances, we will work with you fairly and make every reasonable effort to find the best practical solution. Any refund or credit may depend on money that Sarah Tours can recover from hotels, transport providers, and other suppliers.
6. Travel Documents & Health
You are responsible for having a valid passport, visas, and any other documents or health requirements needed for the countries you visit or travel through. Requirements vary according to nationality and can change, so please check them well before departure.
If you have a health condition, mobility requirement, dietary need, or other circumstance that may affect your journey, please let us know before you travel. We will do our best to advise you and, where reasonably possible, make suitable arrangements.
Some Sarah Tours journeys include walking, trekking, desert travel, long drives, or travel in remote areas. Please read the itinerary and physical activity information carefully and ask us if you are uncertain whether a journey is suitable for you.
7. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every traveler, covering at least medical expenses and repatriation, trip cancellation or interruption, and loss of personal belongings.
Your insurance should be suitable for the activities included in your journey and cover you for the full duration of your trip.
For some journeys, particularly those involving trekking, remote areas, or adventure activities, we may require proof of appropriate travel insurance before departure.
8. Your Responsibilities
Travel is a shared experience. We ask you to treat fellow travelers, guides, drivers, local communities, cultures, and the places we visit with respect.
Please follow reasonable instructions from your guide or tour leader, particularly when they concern safety, local customs, or the protection of the places and communities we visit.
You are responsible for your personal belongings and for acting with reasonable care for your own safety.
In the rare event that a traveler's behavior seriously threatens the safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of others, or shows serious disrespect toward local people or communities, Sarah Tours may ask that traveler to leave the tour. In such circumstances, additional costs and onward travel arrangements will normally be the traveler's responsibility.
9. Our Responsibility
Sarah Tours takes responsibility for planning and organizing your journey with reasonable care. We carefully select the guides, drivers, accommodation providers, transport companies, and other local partners we work with.
Many services during your journey are provided by independent local suppliers. While we cannot control every action or circumstance, we take our responsibility in choosing and working with these partners seriously.
If something goes wrong, please tell us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to help resolve the problem and, where appropriate, work with the service provider concerned.
Sarah Tours cannot be responsible for losses or additional costs caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or by a traveler's own actions or failure to follow reasonable instructions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. If Something Goes Wrong
We want you to tell us if something is not right. Many problems can be resolved quickly when we know about them.
If something goes wrong during your journey, please speak with your guide, tour leader, or our local team as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to help.
If the matter cannot be resolved during your journey, please contact Sarah Tours after your return and tell us what happened. We will listen, investigate the matter fairly, and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
We ask that complaints be sent to us within 30 days of the end of your journey, while the details are still fresh and we are able to follow up effectively.
11. Using This Website
We do our best to keep the information on the Sarah Tours website accurate and up to date. Travel arrangements, prices, itineraries, and availability can change, and we will let you know about any significant change affecting your journey.
The text, photographs, designs, and other original content on this website belong to Sarah Tours or are used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse them without permission.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Morocco.
If a disagreement arises, we hope it can first be resolved directly and fairly between you and Sarah Tours. If legal proceedings become necessary, they will be governed by the applicable laws and jurisdiction of Morocco, without taking away any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as our services, business, or legal requirements change.
The Terms that apply to your booking are the Terms in effect when your booking is confirmed. Any later changes will not alter the Terms of an existing confirmed booking unless the change is required by law.
14. Contact Us
If you have a question about these Terms & Conditions, your booking, or your journey, please contact us at discover@sarahtours.com or through our Contact Us page.
If something is unclear, please ask. We believe it is always better to have a conversation before a journey than a misunderstanding during one.
We're happy to help
Reach out before you book if anything in these terms needs clarifying — we'd rather explain it now than leave you guessing.
